The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC), Division of Solid Waste Management will conduct an open house and public hearing Tuesday, August 26, 2025, to receive comments on the Corrective Action/Risk Assessment (CARA) Plan Draft Revision 1 for the TVA Allen Fossil Plant (TVA ALF) West Ash Disposal Area (WADA) located near in Memphis, Tenn. TDEC has completed its review of the submittal and found it to be acceptable. TDEC will also provide the annual project update on the Coal Combustion Residual (CCR) removal process currently underway at the TVA ALF East Ash Disposal Area (EADA).
